About Us

We offer a large range of additional activities ranging from a highly successful school orchestra and bands to our numerous sporting pursuits, clubs, school trips and visits. Our greatest assets are our pupils and staff who jointly provide the atmosphere and environment for successful learning to take place.

On entry to the school, each pupil is allocated to one of four groups, which are, as far as possible, equal in ability and representation from our urban and rural communities. These form groups are also the basis for the school’s house system:

These names were taken from prominent local families in Morpeth’s history. Various inter-house competitions take place in the course of the school year.
